It is not easy to learn Mandarin by yourself. People who learn Chinese by themselves in a non-Chinese environment will find that they can only master some basic vocabulary and some simple sentence patterns after a period of intermittent learning, which enables them to achieve basic communication, but it is more difficult to study further.
